Lithe People steps up its focus on UK manufacturing recruitment across the Midlands

Since last year, Lithe People has been helping manufacturers build their teams with specialist workers, giving them the people they need to keep production running and to grow. The new team means that support can now reach many more businesses.
Lithe People, a trading name of Lithe Consulting Limited, is putting a dedicated team behind recruitment for UK manufacturers, starting with businesses in the East and West Midlands.
Finding skilled people is one of the hardest problems UK manufacturers face right now. Lithe People recruits across plastics moulding, engineering, tooling and toolmaking, and the supply chains around them. Many of those businesses are based in the Midlands, so that is where the team is concentrating.
“We really believe in making Britain prosper, and part of that is bringing more manufacturing back home. None of it works without the right people on the shop floor and in the design office. We now have a dedicated team on this, and we want to be the first call Midlands manufacturers make when they need to hire.”
The work fits the government's Modern Industrial Strategy and its Advanced Manufacturing Sector Plan, published in June 2025. The plan aims to nearly double annual business investment in advanced manufacturing, from £21 billion to £39 billion by 2035, anchor more supply chains in the UK, and close the skills gaps that hold the sector back. Putting the right people into the right roles is a practical part of that.
Sean Bramley joins Lithe People as Head of Business Development for manufacturing. He will work with manufacturers across the Midlands to understand what they need to hire for and connect them with specialist candidates.
Paul Witts, Director of People Operations at Lithe People, oversees candidate engagements, onboarding and the day-to-day delivery team that keeps hiring moving once a manufacturer has briefed the team.
